Police seek driver who destroyed a traffic signal

Mar 17, 2024

Police in White Settlement are trying to find the truck driver who accidentally ripped down a stop light. They hope surveillance video and pictures of the wreck will help them find the vehicle.

Police say the truck went through the intersection of North Cherry Lane and Clifford Street around 6:15 on Saturday, July 29th. That's near the Lockheed Martin facility called "Air Force Plant 4".

The bed on the truck was elevated, and it clipped the overhead stop light. Police say the driver did not stop. The collision caused over $8,000 in damages and caused malfunctions in several other traffic lights in the area.

White Settlement Police are asking anyone who recognizes the vehicle or who has information about the driver to contact Sgt. Steven Person at [email protected] or 817-246-7070. Individuals can also call the Tarrant County Crime Stoppers hotline at 817-469-TIPS.
