SALISBURY, Md. – The traffic signal at the intersection of College and Camden Avenue is temporarily out of operation.

City officials say an unknown issue Sunday night caused the disruption of the signal cabinet at the intersection, which sustained extensive damage. It is presumed that the incident was caused by a power surge.

As a result, the signal cabinet is out of operation and is expected to remain non-functional or operate at reduced capacity for an extended period of time. Technicians are working to make repairs as quickly as possible.

The signal has been set to flash mode to mitigate the impact on traffic flow, but drivers and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution in the area. Officials recommend seeking alternate routes until the signal cabinet is restored to full operation.
